SMJFL ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH GRILL'D

The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is thrilled to announce a new multi-year partnership with Grill’d, Australia’s favourite home-grown burger brand.

Since establishing their first Melbourne restaurant in 2004, Grill’d has been providing guests with delicious, locally sourced, 100% natural, healthy burgers.

SMJFL club members can enjoy a meal and connect with Grill’d staff in over 11 restaurant locations across the local area.

From a community point of view, its Local Matters Program connects restaurants to local groups and is a way of giving back to the communities in which Grill’d operates. To date Grill’d has donated over $6M to over 30K community groups, organisations and projects.

Grill'd has a strong commitment to supporting athletes and sporting teams via long term partnerships with the Australian Institute of Sport, the NRL’s Melbourne Storm and the Victorian Amateur Football Association.

SMJFL CEO Matthew Brown with Grill'd Chief Marketing Officer Ben Goss and Carlton Football Club legend & SMJFL Parent Andy McKay at Grill'd Malvern.

Ben Goss, Chief Marketing Officer, Grill’d says: “Support of grass roots sport has always been a chance to connect with our local communities and promote a healthy lifestyle. Grill’d are the only burgers endorsed by the Australian Institute of Sport and every weekend fuel the performance of professional players at the highest level. We are thrilled to be able to extend and deepen our connection to junior footy through our partnership with the SMJFL.”

Matthew Brown, CEO, SMJFL says: “Much like the SMJFL, Grill’d shares the values of health and community at their forefront. We are delighted to welcome Grill’d on board as a corporate partner of the league and have them support our 25 Member Clubs.”

Andy McKay, 200+ game Carlton playing veteran says: “This partnership is just a fantastic match for grassroots football. All three of my children have played within the league and regularly eat Grill’d burgers after games to refuel their bodies. As a parent and an ex-player it’s great to know they are eating a healthy burger to restore their energy levels.”

Grill’d’s logo will be featured on the back of all SMJFL playing guernseys, along with hosting a Grill'd-themed round in Round 8.
