Ormond JFC defeated by AJAX JFC

AJAX have given a strong performance for another week with terrific success against Ormond JFC at E.E. Gunn reserve. Although Ormond JFC managed to ward off any scoring from AJAX in the second quarter, AJAX strong lead and star goal scorers made it a challenge and ultimately secured the 39-point victory. Key goal scorers for AJAX included Jonah Pitt, Manny Micmacher, and Hugo Mack Krasnostein, all with two goals each. Krasnostein continues to live up to his goal magnet nature and is a player to watch as he remains the top goal scorer of the U17.5 Division 1 with 12 goals. Despite the lead AJAX had from the start, Ormond held strong and managed to kick two goals in the last quarter to shorten the point difference.
Waverley Park Hawks defeated St Peters FC

The Waverley Park Hawks have flown to a successful 28-point victory against St Peters FC at Wellington Reserve. The Hawks struck at every chance for a point on the board before the final siren with their star goal scorers Kaden Mastromanno (2 goals), Teage Dakin (2 goals), Angus Hayes (1 goal), and Cameron Chapple (1 goal). Although the Hawks stayed soaring above St Peters, St Peters persevered and fought to the last second and are now preparing for their next match!
Beaumaris FC defeated Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham

The Beaumaris Sharks swam to an amazing finish on Sunday following their close win in round 4. The Sharks were very impressive this week, showcasing a full display of 6 scored goals and 2 points in the second quarter to distance themselves from their opponent. A spectacular 12 goals as the game came to a close. The Sharks star goal scorer Liam Mcnamara once again graced the field with an outstanding performance and 4 goals to his name. Despite the loss, Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham were able to stay competitive and score consistently throughout the whole game but just falling short as the Sharks gained an early lead.
St Bedes/Mentone Tigers defeated Murrumbeena JFC

After a bye in round 4, the St Bedes/Mentone Tigers brought their A game to the field on the weekend against the Murrumbeena Lions at Mentone Reserve. At their home ground, the Tigers pounced to an amazing 30-point victory and are continuing their winning streak for the season. The Tigers not only put on a show with their goal scorers but also managed to fend off any scoring from the Lions in the first quarter and by half time had an impressive lead of 39 points. The Lions held onto their pride and scored a notable 42 points in the second half, but it was a strong finish for the Tigers towering efforts.

Murrumbeena JFC defeated South Melbourne Districts AFC

The Lionesses have roared to an astounding 61-point victory against the South Melbourne Districts AFC at Murrumbeena Park. This game marks the highest goals scored for the Lionesses this season with an impressive 11 goals in total. The Lionesses standout goal scorers include Georgia Miller (3 goals) and Grace McIntyre (2 goals). Grace McIntyre holding onto her position as third top goal scorer of the U18 Girls Division 1. In addition, the Lionesses did not shy away from sharing the goal kicking around as 5 other players each added goals to their scoresheets. Although it was a tough match for South Melbourne, they showed determination to stay strong till the final siren.
Prahran JFC defeated East Brighton Vampires JFC

Prahran JFC started off strong on the weekend against East Brighton Vampires JFC at Toorak Park. At half time Prahran had a 16-point lead that only grew from there, reaching a final victory of 39-points as the siren rang out. Even though the Vampires were falling behind as the game ticked into the fourth quarter and Prahran was 32 points up, they persevered and scored a goal and point. Prahran now holds onto their 3-match winning streak taking them into round 6.
Beaumaris FC defeated Waverley Park Hawks

This weekend the Beaumaris Sharks performed an absolute masterclass of a match against the Waverley Park Hawks at Banksia Reserve. This round of the season for Beaumaris FC was changed to an inaugural Holly and Bianca round in honour of their past contributions to the club and to honour their families and friends.
Off their bye last week, the Sharks were ready to rumble and continue their winning streak this season with an impressive victory. The top goal scorers of the game were Mia Ursprung and Olivia Smith both with 2 goals, as well as the six other players that each scored a single goal. Waverley Park Hawks showed pride in their game and stuck it out till the end.
