South Melbourne Districts 4.4.28 def by. Ormond 12.14. 86

A dominant second half has seen Ormond notch it’s first victory of 2023 with a win over South Melbourne Districts at Ross Gregory Oval. With the Bloods in striking distance at the main break, Ormond were able to hit the scoreboard with frequency after half time to ensure the win.


St. Kilda City 10.10.70 d. Mordialloc-Braeside 3.10.28

St. Kilda City have continued it’s perfect start to the season, with a win over Mordialloc-Braeside. Inaccuracy from the Mustangs in the first half resulted in a 21-point lead for the Saints, who took the most of their opportunities in front of goal to run away with the win.


Beaumaris 18.13.121 d. Sandringham Rovers Highett 6.5.41

Reigning Division 1 Premier Beaumaris has kicked off it’s title defence with a solid win over Sandringham Rovers Highett. Consistently hitting the scoreboard throughout the contest, the Sharks led at every break, picking up were they left off in 2022.

St. Kilda City 11.11.77 d. South Melbourne Districts 2.0

St. Kilda City continued its unbeaten trend to start 2023, with a win over South Melbourne Districts at Koornang Park. With a hot start and commanding finish, the Saints were able to hold the Bloods scoreless in the first and fourth quarters to make it two wins from two games this season.


Mordialloc-Braeside 0.7.7 def. by Beaumaris ZAHRA 8.5.55

Beaumaris notched up its second win from as many games, with a comfortable victory over reigning Division 1 Premier Mordialloc-Braeside. In what was a testing day for the Mustangs in front of the big sticks, the Sharks took full advantage of their opportunities, taking a 33-point lead into the final term to secure the win.


East Brighton Vampires 16.9. 105 def. East Malvern LUCAS-RODD 1.0.6

East Brighton Vampires also remain undefeated after two games, defeating East Malvern at Hurlingham Park. A 10-goal first half for the Vamps set up the victory.


Bentleigh/St. Peters 1.1.7 def. by East Malvern EVA 3.13.31

East Malvern are in the winner’s circle for first time in 2022, with a victory over Bentleigh/St. Peters at Centenary Park. Despite an inaccurate day in front of goal, the Knights were still able to put the score on the board to ensure the win.


Beaumaris GREAT WHITES 0.0.0 def. by Prahran 10.27.87

Despite kicking 27 behinds, Prahran notched up their second win of 2023 to also stay unbeaten early in the season, defeating Beaumaris at Beaumaris Secondary College.
