Recruitment and Human Resources Consultancy experts Options Consulting Group (OCG) have recommitted as Official Partners of the South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) until 2022.
OCG have supported the league since 2015 as the league’s Exclusive Human Resources Solutions Partner, and have overseen the recruitment of eight SMJFL staff since the inception of the partnership.
SMJFL Chief Executive Officer Sarah Loh thanked OCG for their ongoing support.
“The league is overjoyed for OCG to recommit to the league again in 2021,” said Ms Loh.
“OCG’s support has been so vital to the league in helping us champion club development with their continued support of the annual SMJFL Club Conference.”
The SMJFL’s annual Club Conference focuses on aspects of club management, volunteer management and best practice workshops from the league’s partners and stakeholders.
“OCG’s support of the league and its initiatives have assisted the SMJFL to be industry leaders in community sport.”
OCG Principal John Gilbert has a long history with the league, having served as the President of East Malvern JFC and supporting teams around the club before forming a partnership with the league.
Mr Gilbert spoke of the value that community sport brings to those who participate.
“We at OCG recognise the vital role community sport play in encouraging local communities to socialise, be active and have fun,” he said.
“We know the importance of partner investment in making this possible, and OCG is proud to play its part.”

Mr Gilbert referenced the challenges the COVID-19 pandemic has presented the league and its clubs.
“The foreseeable future, including Season 2021, will present challenges for community sport unlike those we have seen before,” said Mr Gilbert.
“We’re proud to support community sport at such a crucial time and to help support the league and its clubs to provide the very best game-day experience to their members.”
OCG will feature at the SMJFL 2021 Club Conference and in Round 10 of the 2021 Season with the OCG Round, where a ‘Play of the Day’ recognition award will be given to a player in each team.
