The South Metro Junior Football League (SMJFL) is pleased to announce the appointment of Gabriella Suriano as Football Pathway Director.

An experienced coach and administrator in both grassroots and elite talent pathways capacities, Gabriella will be overseeing the delivery of the SMJFL football pathway programs in conjunction with St. Kilda Football Club and the development of the SMJFL Interleague coaching staff.

“We are really excited to have Gab as a part of the Football Department for 2022,’’ said Football Operations Manager Ian Leach.

“Gab’s experience across various roles at different levels will greatly benefit the SMJFL football pathway programs as we aim to further develop all facets of the program.”

As part of the role as Football Pathway Director, Gabriella will be constructing the SMJFL Coaching Curriculum, which will form the basis of the soon to be SMJFL Coaching Academy.

In addition to being SMJFL’s Pathway Director, Gabriella is currently the head coach of both the Under 15 Girls St. Kilda NGA squad and Under 16 Girls All Nations squad, development coach at the Southern Saints VFLW and Director of Girl’s Football at Prahran Junior Football Club.

Gabriella commenced as Football Pathway Director on 17 January.
