This month, the South Metro Junior Football League is recognising Andrew Parker as the Westinghouse Administrator of the Month for May.

Andrew has volunteered at Prahran Junior Football Club for seven years, first getting involved as a stand-in coach for his daughter's U8 Girls team, a team formed due to an extraordinary volume of registrations which eclipsed the capacity of a single side. He has continued coaching this team through the years alongside James Gooley, a partnership that has delivered both the U11 and U13 premierships, with only two losses across four full seasons. For the past two years, Andrew has also found the time to coach his son's team and to run the Auskick program at Toorak Park even though his own children have progressed beyond the program. Additionally, he has also assisted with coaching at the STK Academy for the past two years in support of the U13 and U14 Girls programs.

In 2025, in addition to his coaching commitments, Andrew joined the General Committee and took on responsibility for club merchandise. This season, Andrew has stepped up once again to become Head of Footy Operations, overseeing both the girls' and boys' programs at the club. With more than 700 children registered across 30 teams, this alone is a gargantuan undertaking.

Andrew is regarded as an inspiration by his peers at Prahran JFC, exemplifying the ethos of community football and dedication to his club, their players, and the community.

The SMJFL extends its congratulations to Andrew for this award, and thanks him for his outstanding service.
