SMJFL and TAC renew Partnership for 2026

The SMJFL is proud to announce the renewal of our partnership with the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) in support of the TAC Road Safety Community Football Partnership.

The TAC is a Victorian Government-owned organisation that promotes road safety and helps Victorians get their lives back on track after transport accidents through covering the cost of treatment and providing benefits to those affected.

To assist in promoting road safety within the Victorian community, TAC has launched the 2026 TAC Club Rewards program, with participating AFL Victoria affiliated clubs able to earn themselves up to $10,000 in funding through active participation and promotion of road safety in their community.

All SMJFL clubs are eligible to apply for the TAC Club Rewards Program, and registrations for 2026 are now open. For more information, visit https://play.afl/victoria/tacclubrewards and talk to your club about registering.

This weekend, the SMJFL and our affiliated clubs will be participating in the statewide TAC Road Safety Round, with players wearing blue TAC armbands to raise awareness of road safety. This year’s road safety focus is speeding, which contributes to nearly 30% of fatal crashes and nearly 25% of serious injury crashes.
