Monash University Under 18 Girls Division 1


East Malvern 2.1.13 def by Prahran 4.11.35

The two-week break was not a worry for Prahran as they went on to defeat East Malvern to remain undefeated. East Malvern managed to keep Prahran scoreless in the second quarter however, Prahran were too strong in the third adding 2.2 and ran away with the win.


St Kilda City JFC 6.4.40 def by Beaumaris 8.6.54

It was a tight battle between St Kilda City and Beaumaris at Peanut Farm Reserve. There was only 1-point separating the two until half-time, with the Saints leading 22-21. Beaumaris was able to hit the front in third and added 5 second half goals to defeat the Saints by 14-points.


Mordialloc-Braeside 6.6.42 def East Brighton Vampires 2.6.18

Mordialloc-Braeside put their recent loss behind them and returned from the break refreshed to record a 24-point win over East Brighton Vampires. Mordi-Brae didn’t look like losing from the start and the Vampires struggled to stop their scoring prowess. The game was highlighted by Samantha Jenkins of Mordi-Brae kicking 3-goals.


Monash University Under 17.5 Boys Division 1


St Bedes / Mentone Tigers AFC 5.4.34 def by Beaumaris 6.11.47

Beaumaris continued their charge towards finals defeating SBMT by 13-points at Mentone Reserve. After a 3-goal first quarter SBMT were able to slow Beaumaris in the second and narrow the lead to 9-points. SBMT & Beaumaris both added 2-goals to their tally in the third, making it a tight contest going into the final quarter where Beaumaris were able to hold on to the lead to win.


South Melbourne Districts 8.5.53 def Mordialloc-Braeside 6.8.44

South Melbourne returned to the winners list this week with a narrow win over Mordialloc-Braeside. Mordi-Brae let South Melbourne out to a 2-goal lead in the first quarter before narrowing the margin to 1-point at half time. Mordi-Brae was able to stick with South Melbourne in the third however, inaccuracy in front of goal in the last proved costly for Mordi-Brae as South Melbourne kicked 3.0 to clinch the win.


Ormond 8.9.57 def St Kilda City JFC 4.9.33

Ormond continue to remain undefeated after a 24-point win against St Kilda City JFC. It was a close contest with the Saints leading 21-20 after the first break. The tables turned in the second and Ormond were able to lead 30-28 at the half. Ormond kept the Saints goalless in the second half which proved to be the difference in the score line at the final siren.
