Monash University Under 18 Girls Division 1

Prahran 1.4.10 d. Beaumaris 0.2.2

In the first top of the table clash of the year, Prahran defeated Beaumaris to leapfrog the sharks into first place. The Grand Finalists from last year’s Under 16 Division 1 Grand Final squared off again in the Under 18’s, with the Two Blues producing a similar result in a close win. These two teams last games have been decided by a combined nine points, in what’s turning into a great rivalry between the two teams.


Mordialloc-Braeside 5.2.32 def by. St. Kilda City 7.14.56

St. Kilda City are back in the winner’s circle after a win over Mordialloc-Braeside at Chadwick Reserve. Throughout a tight contest, the Saints were able to push themselves into the lead at every break, finishing with a 24-point victory at the final horn.


East Brighton Vampires 2.5.17 def by. East Malvern 5.11.41

East Malvern has made it two wins on the trot, this time with a victory over East Brighton Vampires. After a close first term, the Knights were able to take a grasp on the game during the middle periods, kicking four-goals to one before eventually running out 24-point winners.


Monash University Under 17.5 Boys Division 1

St. Kilda City 6.12.48 def by. St. Bedes/Mentone Tigers 8.10.58

The Tigers are starting to look comfortable in Division 1, jumping into second place on the ladder with their second win on the trot, this time over St. Kilda City at Elwood Park. In a back and forth first half, the Saints took a slim four-point lead into the half time break, before St. Bedes/Mentone booted four goals to one in third term to set up the victory.

Beaumaris 10.6.66 d. South Melbourne Districts 5.12.42

A five-goal first quarter blitz from Beaumaris has put the Sharks back into the winner’s circle with a victory over South Melbourne Districts. The Sharks booted the first five goals of the match, taking a 29-point lead into quarter time, proving a gap too far for the Bloods to chase down, with Beaumaris finished with a 24-point victory.
