U17.5 Boys Div 1
AJAX JFC defeated Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham

In the final competition of the year AJAX defeated Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham (B/H/C), in a jaw dropping, nail-biter of a finish. At Hurlingham Park the two top teams took to the field with determination as the booming crowd cheered on. AJAX jumped into action instantly scoring 3 goals in the first quarter. Although B/H/C were close on their tail the control AJAX had was undeniable. In the second quarter B/H/C shook up the game and booted 4 goals to take the lead and intensify the game as it rolled into halftime.
At halftime, both teams had 6 goals to their name, B/H/C just pulling ahead with 2 points difference.
As both teams took to the field again after halftime the energy was fierce, each team slowing down one another’s scoring chances. In the third quarter AJAX were limited to scoring 4 behinds as B/H/C managed to boot a goal and a behind to maintain their lead. B/H/C displayed strong coordination as they continued to score through the tough defense of AJAX.
The final quarter brought a whole new heat to the game as a 5-point difference separated who would be the Champions of the 2025 season. Goal after goal the teams grew closer to the final siren. Despite B/H/C’s lead, the final result was anyone’s game as a single goal could shake up the games outcome. The final quarter saw AJAX snag 4 goals pulling them into the lead as B/H/C scored 3 goals. In an epic conclusion AJAX pulled through at the end to secure a 2-point victory over B/H/C.
AJAX’s Hugo Mack Krasnostein scored a spectacular 6 goals, continuing his goal scoring reputation and bringing his total goal kicking this season to a whopping 45 goals in 15 games!
B/H/C’s star scorer of the match was Lochie Burrows with an amazing 3 goals, his total scored this season landing on 17 goals from 10 games.

Well done to all the players who brought their A-game to the field and showcased a strong and well-matched competition.

U18 Girls Div 1
Beaumaris FC have defeated Waverly Park Hawks

Beaumaris secured a 20-point victory against the Hawks at Hurlingham Park. The final face off from the Sharks and Hawks saw each team bring their A-game to the field. From the get-go the Sharks swam into action, scoring 2 goals and 3 behinds to secure a 3-point lead. In the second quarter the competition became closer as the Hawks were the only ones to score with a single point, closing the difference to 2-points at halftime.
At halftime the score stood at 15-points for the Sharks and 13-points for the Hawks. As the Sharks remained ahead the poise in their game was noticeable and depicted much of their previous performances in the season.
As the third quarter kicked off the Sharks stepped up their game and efficiency, pulling ahead of the Hawks. Whilst fending off any scoring from the Hawks, the Sharks booted 3 goals in the third quarter. Despite being unable to put points on the scoreboard in the third quarter, the Hawks did not back down, and their intensity played through to the final quarter.
In the last quarter of the match the Sharks continued to score 2 more goals pushing them further towards victory. However, the Hawks also snagged 2 goals and 3 behinds, and despite scoring more than the Sharks in the final quarter the score difference was too much.
As the final siren rang out the Sharks secured their 20-point victory against the Hawks.
Beaumaris’s star goal scorer of the match was Mia Ursprung with a strong 2 goals. Waverley Park Hawks’ star goal scorer of the game was their Captain Shelby Vicic with an amazing 3 goals.
