U17.5 Boys Div 1
Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham defeated Waverley Park Hawks

Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham secured a 6-point victory against the Hawks at Boss James Reserve. In stunning fashion, the outcome of the game came down to the final minutes as the score margin was within reach for either team. Despite gaining a strong lead in the first two quarters of the game, Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham had their fair share of competition as the Hawks stepped into gear after halftime. The Hawks closed the score margin from 19 to 7 points after the third quarter, drawing them into winning territory. However, in the last quarter neither team was able to score any goals and Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham won the match. Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham’s Spencer Saarinsen was the standout goal scorer of the match as he booted 3 goals.
Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham are now through to the Grand Final competing against AJAX for the U17.5 boys season title.
In the last game AJAX and Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham faced off in round 10 Bentleigh / Highett / Cheltenham won by a close 8-points.

U18 Girls Div 1
St Peters / Bentleigh defeated by Waverley Park Hawks

The Hawks have soared to another final’s week victory, taking them into the Grand Final against Beaumaris FC. In a close scoring game at Boss James Reserve, the U18 Girls’ Preliminary Final saw the Hawks take control of the match and propel them into the Grand Final. [Despite winning against the Hawks, the last time they played each other was in Round 13]. Losing by 10 points, St Peters / Bentleigh held their own on the field and continued to put pressure on the winning team.
The Hawks Isabel Metaxas snagged 2 goals for her team taking her total this season to 23 goals as she heads into the Grand Final.
The Hawks are now preparing to face off with Beaumaris FC who have topped the ladder all season, and in their last game against each other defeated the Hawks by 15 points.
