The South Metro Junior Football League is proud to announce the renewal of its partnership with Grill’d, strengthening a shared commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and supporting community groups across Melbourne’s south-east.
As a league built on participation, development and wellbeing, the SMJFL continues to align with partners who actively invest in grassroots sport and local communities. Grill’d’s focus on nutrient packed burgers and locally sourced ingredients ensures all their burgers are built for performance, full of flavour and made with love. Complementing the league’s emphasis on fuelling young athletes and encouraging positive habits both on and off the field.

This renewed partnership will continue to provide SMJFL clubs and families with opportunities to connect at Grill’d locations across Melbourne’s south-east, creating welcoming spaces where teams, volunteers and supporters can come together. Grill’d’s long-standing involvement in sport reinforces its commitment to supporting athletes at every level, aligning strongly with SMJFL’s role in providing inclusive, community-focused football opportunities for thousands of young players.

This is reflected in the new Grill'd Club Rewards Program, designed to give back directly to clubs who engage with the partnership throughout the season and earn rewards along the way. It builds on the existing Local Matters program, where Grill'd supports the communities and causes that matter most to locals. Since 2011, Local Matters has donated over $7 million to a range of local community groups, organisations and projects.

As part of the renewed partnership, Grill’d will continue to feature on the back of all SMJFL playing guernseys, symbolising its ongoing investment in junior football. The league will also continue hosting a dedicated Grill’d-themed round, to be held on Round 6, celebrating the role of community partners in supporting local sport.
The partnership highlights the impact that aligned values can have, bringing together health, sport and community to create lasting benefits for clubs and families across south-east Melbourne.
