SMJFL in partnership with AFL Victoria are excited to launch our fun and tackle-free AFL Nines competition for children aged 13 – 16 years!
MATCH DETAILS
Competitions: U14 and U16 (Boys ONLY and Girls ONLY competitions)
Duration: 1 x 40-minute match (2 x 20 min halves)
Players on field: 9
Modified equipment and field size
No tackling

Venue: Moorleigh Reserve, Bignell Road, East Bentleigh

WHAT IS AFL NINES?
AFL Nines is a social, fast paced game of footy played with nine-a-side on a smaller field. Tackling is replaced by one-handed touch, games run for 40 minutes and modified equipment is used to support new players!
This fun and social AFL Nines competition is designed to welcome new and lapsed players to footy. Existing footy players are encouraged to participate in community football.
